My girl friend and i had a horrific experience in the emergency room. Not only did they let my girl friend suffer in chronic pain. When finally Dr Casey Wards did come over she was rude and incosiderate to the pain she was under.
The 2cnd floor , so called Doctor is a complete idiot, rude and obnoxious! He is a disgrace to the word Doctor!!!
Stay away from here if you can. First for the good the staff is nice. Now the bad. They ordered test that had nothing to do with my "visit" and when I asked about it suddenly canceled them. I was admitted by ambulance at 1:00p.m. and did not see a doctor until 4:30. They "forced" me to stay overnight for observations for poor reasons but told me if I sign myself out that inaurance wouldn't pay. Another time I was in emergency a doctor introduced himself and that is it, literally. He billed my insurance $1000. In my opionion half of what they do/keep you there is to bill insurance. I think they should be investigated.
The Jospitalizts are the worse they're are anywhere.
The staff at the time of our visit was very nice and efficient. However, Mather Hospital greatly misled us. We were billed for services that not only weren't approved by us, but were spelled out in a written agreement that we did not want the specific services. Years later, after we were told this was resolved we were put into collections. Simply put, Mather Hospital can not be trusted to do and bill as they agree to. I would avoid a hospital that says one thing and does another. Especially when it costs you out of pocket for their errors and you end up not being able to do anything about it because their lawyers are bigger than yours. And, amazingly, they were the only hospital on Long Island that was rated an "A" hospital. You really have to wonder who does the rating. It certainly wasn't for patient satisfaction, judging by some of the real world reviews posted here.
Was there because of possible kidney issues. Everyone in the ER department was outstanding. I cannot think of one negative comment to make. Other Hospitals should take notice
When confronted the doctor and her team of nurses lied about the administration of meds. A medicine that they said earlier that they can only use for diagnostic purposes, they applied as pain management. I had to beg to get them to help her, as she was mouning and crying in agony.
Next time I will go to Saint Charles hospital or Stonybrook Hospital.
The Infusion Center is superb. The 2cnd floor staff is good, 3rd floor not so good. The ER has a lot left to be desired. They can be decent and at other times are horrible. They need training !
